About

My name is Megan, and I am completely obsessed with food.

I love talking about food, I love cooking food, I love eating. There’s little I enjoy more in life than sharing good food with good friends (and ideally some good wine). I’ve also never used 2 cloves of garlic in my life. 2 bulbs, maybe. My recipes take garlic seriously.

I believe eating well is incredibly important for so many reasons. Food is a powerful social tool, it brings people together, it’s a way of showing your love for people around you, for sharing pleasure and for finding time to connect with family and friends. It’s also one of the most basic needs we have; but as well as simply fueling our bodies, it can nurture too. What we eat will determine how we feel in the short term, but will also affect our health and well-being across our entire lives.

Eating well doesn’t need to mean compromising on flavour. The food I cook is all about fun, honest, natural ingredients (ethically and locally sourced where possible) that pack a punch. I cook creatively (in fact – as I tend to make dishes up as I go along – writing down the recipe for this is going to be an interesting new challenge!), often substituting in healthy alternatives, and always paying careful attention to my vegetables. I’m not a total martyr though. I’ll see your salted peanuts, and I’ll raise you a pack of pork scratchings…
